Chicago is one of the cleanest cities I have been to. I have only traveled through the US, but compared to New York or LA it is way more clean.

Mainly because Chicago is inhabited by humans who actually care a bit about the other people they live adjacent to.

Heh, you know your light pollution is bad when even the clouds glow brighter than the moon with that wonderful sodium line. Yummy.
