I am really happy to see that the Broncs focused on their real problem: defense! Hire an offensive minded coach, check. Ger rid of Pro Bowl QB, check. Sign old, washed up safety for millions, check. Guess we are going to the Super Bowl boys!!!! I am counting the days until Mcf**knuts gets fired.
As a current resident and native of the Chicago area, but also a former resident of Colorado, this is pretty cool. I secretly hoped the Bears would get the disgruntled Cutler.I will miss Orton because he seemed like a team player and really worked hard, and also because I fear we don't have a proven backup now, but overall I think the trade was worth it, as we tend to squander our draft picks anyway.I'm not sure I really supported getting rid of Plummer for Cutler, even though Jake in his last season was a lot like Grossman, but now that Shanahan is gone the team looks totally different than what it was when I lived there. I hope the Broncos do well, as I would really like to move back to Colorado at some point in the near future, but DA BEARS are my #1 team forever and for always.
I agree with you completely. Orton showed a lot of guts and definitely improved over the season. And it takes a champ to put up with Rex's BS. God I hate Rex so much. Orton could have been a franchise QB for the Bears. But now, McDaniels will turn him into a TD throwing machine. And that little baby Cutler is just waiting to be dominated by the NFC North's defensive lines. Compared to the AFC West's D lines...HAHA. He'll really be crying about 3 weeks into the season.
