thinkprogress.org — Cheney told reporters yesterday, "The thing that?s partly disturbing about it [Lieberman's loss] is the fact that, the standpoint of our adversaries, if you will, in this conflict, and the al Qaeda types, the they clearly are betting on the proposition that ultimately they can break the will of the American people."

Considering how little the average American person knows about this conflict, I think information about our history with al Qaeda and Bin Laden is far more disturbing.http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/binladen_cia.html

GREAT LIES of Bush/Cheney that the mainstream media fails to identify:* Lie: that the War in Iraq == the War on Terror. Wrong: the war in Iraq is the _distraction_ from the war against terrorists. Taking Saddam out for Cheney was more about getting billions in no-bid contracts for his company Halliburton.* Lie: that wanting Bush & Cheney brought to justice for their criminal acts is either support for the terrorists or anti-American. The first thing I want to change Bush & Cheney with when they're arrested is gross criminal negligence and incompetence resulting in death (manslaughter) for every American and Iraqi civilian who have died in Iraq because of the war that was (1) without just cause, and (2) imcompetenly managed by the civilians directing the pentagon. The crime of killing Americans is the same reason I want to fight terrorists, and why I don't want massive distractions from fighting terrorism like Iraq. There may be laws protecting the president from arrest, but I don't think they apply to the VP. Enough people show up in DC and mass citizens arrest Cheney he could be removed from power and tried pronto.

@djbruker"True - if we pull out of Iraq terror elements may get a stronghold there."I'm sick and tired of hearing this arguement, it's simply not true. The fact is they *have* a stronghold, have you not seen the endless terrorist attacks? Seems like the frequency is increasing, not decreasing. The simple fact that the Americans occupy Iraq is causing these terror attacks. You're telling me if someone invaded USA and killed a family member or friend you wouldn't hate their f**king guts and want retribution. Same damn thing here... America is hated worldwide and you can thank this current administration and the Rove war machine for that.I love this country but I f**king LOATHE our leaders.

"I bet some of those anti-Bush voters may have been swayed by yesterdays terrorist bust."That doesn't strike me as a reasonable argument. Bush had nothing to do with that bust.

biofusion is probably correct. But it wouldn't have served the fearmongering to have the boogie man die so quickly.

They hate us for sending money and bombs for Isreal to use killing Arabs.Yup, it really is that simple. Now ask: Why do you never hear this fact on TV?

How did we lose track of him?The man lives in caves in a desert...I doubt the CIA has the personnel to follow every single individual that may have had some relationship with the Mujahadeen 20 years ago.

"Where's Osama... Dick?"He's probably safe and sound as an honored guest in the Oval Office, Camp David, or some federally-sponsored bunker somewhere around here.
