So wait - VP Cheney knows about a gov't project which involved the CIA and executive branch lying to Congress, and he won't talk about it? And we're surprised? Color me shocked. And I always though Mr. Cheney was above reproach when it came to his honesty and integrity.

"The constitution doesn't give the vice president the power to give "orders" to anyone." You point out the proof that Panetta and Pelosi are lying through their teeth. They need to go.

Are we all really that surprised?

Wow, nobody here even cares if he did anything illegal.

Nothing distracts people better than "Cheney" and "lie" in the same sentence.

This may have been the only good idea Cheney ever had. He probably got it from some of us on Digg and the like. Still I doubt this program would stop any cunning types like the 911 crews – if any more are out there anywhere. You sure as hell would not find them among local militias in Iraq or Afghanistan. Atta was a professional working in Hamburg.

Well, the thing is, if you're going to go off and make "Dick's private army," it doesn't take 7 years of thinking about it without quite implementing it. A private death squad is a simple thing to make, train, target, and deploy. IMO this wasn't that. This was an accumulation of info of some sort. It had to be for them to be thinking about it for so long. Possibly also nonfinancial form 4473 gun sales/registration info -- I'm betting they were snarfing that up if they could & storing it illegally, too, given the CIA's questionable history. Of course, financial info is still the crown jewel of snoopery, so 4473 illegality would be a side effect. It's something that fits the cover story, and all they'd have to say is they didn't USE the info for the story to fit pretty well. But in a way, I want someone to leak it, dammit, because I'm curious as to whether or not I'm right. :)

May Bush-Cheny's every breath are cursed, and when the time Bush-Cheney will die, may they both rest in Hell!
