Let me get this straight, for me to complain that Chaney's torture policys are tactically useless, morally repugnant, and done for no other tangible reason then to piss the rest of the world off and escalate a conflict that he started would make ME naive and petty? That's some incredibly stupid logic you got there, not to mention hypocritical considering your judge and jury comment. But to answer your question, you mean the warmongering, bulls**t social and economic policies aren't enough? Let's not compare Murtha or Kennady to this guy, they haven't killed nearly as many innocent people.
Ok, I'll bite. Here's how I feel about Obama in Pakistan: What's going on in Pakistan/Afghanistan is directly attributed to the fact that bush's only exit strategy was to let the next guy deal with it. I'm willing to give Obama a pass on this due simply to the fact that he inherited the problem and the clean up plan comes from choosing which option sucks the least because we squandered the opportunity to do any real good in the region. To leave is to allow the Taliban to take the country back over. To stay may cause us to face the fact that nobody can invade Afghanistan and win, and this current policy of sending in an Airstrike and calling it a day makes us look weak to the locals. I've got no idea how this can be fixed, and I don't think anyone else does either, The fact that Obama is trying to mitigate fallout of someone elses bad policy does afford some room for leniency. Plus, he's nowhere near Cheney's body count. As for the continuation of bush era policies, this s**t is going to take a while to clean up. It doesn't help that many of his efforts are being stonewalled by the republicans, and to some extent, his own party. But conservatives are fond of saying... when it suits their purposes of course, that policy decisions, particularly economic policy takes years for their effects to be realized.I'm not sure how what I said came out to you as "I hate them because they're not like me." I mentioned four specific things: Bad social policies, bad economic policies, warmongering, and torture. Social policies I really only care about because the right wing usually tries to force theirs on others, and if they didn't, I really could care less. Live and let live. Besides, culture war bulls**t is only used to distract us from real problems. Their economic policies don't work, that's pretty clear. War and torture on the other hand, I'd agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that the language that you used attempts to legitimize heinous behavior, and I feel no need to beat around the bush about it. You think torture is acceptable? Go die in a fire.
It does happen, usually with laparoscopic surgery. When my partner had his gall bladder removed, that was was one of the problems that was highlighted as a very real possibility. Laparoscopic surgery is great, but it does have a few draw backs.
