thinkprogress.org — Today, CNN aired a preview of Larry King’s interview tonight with the Vice President, in which Cheney contradicts his Secretary of Defense and states that he agrees with a recent letter to Sen. Clinton that stated, "Premature and public discussion of the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq reinforces enemy propaganda."

Islam is not a religion - it is a political philosophy. So state numerous former Muslims. But then, you don't want to hear that...http://www.islam-watch.org/index.html

I love how premature withdrawal shouldn't be talked about, and they decide what is premature.

Apparently what qualifies as a religion is whatever the US says qualifies as a religion.

We should have left it in ruins to begin with. Why is it the responsibility of American taxpayers and soldiers to sacrifice to rebuild Iraq?

TPOCS, you are DUGG.Here's a rant I assembled as boilerplate whenever right -v- left BS clouds the issues. One of the best political tricks there is: the imaginary concept that there is a "right" and a "left". This is false thinking and an excellent illusion that hides the real story. In truth, there are some very very wealthy people who wish to (a) remain wealthy and (b) become more wealthy. The tend to identify themselves on "the right". Their sole agenda is money, and the power to maintain it and acquire more."The Left" is everybody else. A huge spectrum of people with all sorts of hopes and ideals, so many agendas that the tapestry becomes blurry. Nobody wants a "nanny-state" but most people want to do better by their family, their neighbors, their tribe, their country, and their planet. This is "The Left", and we don't all agree because we don't have the simple agenda of money and power. We have a huge spectrum of issues and can't focus."Republican -vs- Democrat" is an excellent illusion that we have a choice. In reality you have to be supremely wealthy to get to the highest ranks of office. In the end, we just have to try and choose the rich person that we think has a soul and won't f**k us all up. That's the choice we get.One of the most interesting ironies of this illusion is how many people who have no chance of ever being wealthy subscribe to it. Keeping a huge portion of the population marginalized with no access to real money, education and opportunities feeds it.
