networks.silicon.com— Web 2.0 is one of those phrases which we're hearing a lot about currently. Everybody says they're very excited about it but do they really know what it is?

Representing the "second coming" of the internet as Web 2.0 IS a buzzword. You might as well call it "Integrated Revival Stream" or something equally stupid. And what second coming are they referring to again, as though the entire world wide web shut down a few years ago? Oh right, tech stocks floundered, but hey, the internet was still up. People were trying to make money in "Web 1.0" AND "Web 2.0". There are good designs and bad designs then and now. Social networking was important then and now, albeit in different forms. But I missed the earth shattering revolution this article claims was responsible for the coinage.

MySpace wouldn't be considered as the ideal model for Web 2.0, but it does contain elements of Web 2.0.

maybe the way to kill the buzz of "web2.0" is to introduce a new buzzword:"DOT-COM BUST 2.0"start spreading the news!

If dumb-f**k users are the hallmark of Web 2.0, then you'd have to consider AOL the keystone of this movement.
