South America sale price: $18,000. Shipping: $2,200. Profit: $6,800.

1) I'm so glad you are soooo fair about this... I wouldn't want you to be proud of your country without also feeling a bunch of shame and disgust. Otherwise, you'd probably just be plain-old patriotic. Who would want to be called that?2) Ok. So, you are basically saying this is an American thing?3) You make it sound like those who conceive of ways to make money are somehow bad. I know, I know... you're gonna tell me "I NEVER SAID THAT!"... but you gotta realize that you make insinuations and that you always stop short, so you can't be called out on it... but I'm calling you out. Fact is, you have next-to-no-respect for those who see a need and meet it. Yes, that's what capitalism is all about... finding needs and meeting them. Yes, people who "conceive" of these ideas are also motivated by the profit involved, but how many people in South America would be getting the trucks they NEED if there was no profit in it for someone here in the USA? None. Because as much as you'd like for your socialistic, utopian fantasy to be true, people aren't good enough to simply buy $9,000 trucks and send them to South Americans for free. The only way socialists can achieve anything close to this, in reality, is to enforce fake charity... it is called redistribution of wealth... it is also called: stealing.

Sounds like somebody's had this argument before and is very good at creating conflict where there was none to begin with. Some of us don't see things as strictly black-and-white but more in shades of gray. Why would I have submitted this article if I didn't think it was important news and shows how the need you talk about is being filled? Can I ask you how much time you've spent living among other cultures? The patriotism argument always seems to crop up here. My "patriotism" extends to my fellow men and not to a system of government that is constrained by artificially created political boundaries.

Much like Ford's cars that are built in Mexico but assembled in the US.

In many cases, that's not really profit. In many south and central american countries, there is as much as 100% import tax on cars, of their value from several years ago. The importer has to pay that, which means that $9000 SUV you sold for $18000, may only make as little as $500 profit, or less.

It looks like it's cheaper to move your car than buy a new one. The rates are at a all time low:<a class="user" href="http://bestautotransporters.co.cc" rel="nofollow">http://bestautotransporters.co.cc</a><a class="user" href="http://cartransport.weedns.com" rel="nofollow">http://cartransport.weedns.com</a><a class="user" href="http://autoshippers.whyi.org" rel="nofollow">http://autoshippers.whyi.org</a>
