Che Guevara was sent to Bolivia to overthrow the government there. Like his pal Castro, he killed those who opposed him.Why do people romanticize him?

They had disagreements, which led Che to leave Cuba, but this doesn't mean Castro wanted him dead. It would make no sense for Castro to kill Che. Besides, anyone who's actually been to Cuba will see how often Che's face is seen all over the country. Che was a Stalinist and Castro was more of a socialist (yes, the two are different) but this is not a big enough disagreement for Castro to want him dead or proudly have a jar of Che's hands in his office. Cuba recently built a monument of Che in his honor in Santa Clara.

"His idealism was purely for power to be with the people, not a dictatorship. Where the hell do you get your information?" This would not explain why Che Guevara was a Stalinist then an admirer of Mao, both who were dictators. His differences with Fidel were economic.

Anyone who has seen the impact of western economic slavery can understand why Che happened. Example, the ports of Thailand and the Philippines. Young women (girls) sterilized as infants and sold as sex slaves are common. Or the forced labor I witnessed in China. This same dehumization was happening in Havana. The Cuban revolution did not make the leaders rich, so we have a difficult time understanding why they did it. Money was the problem, as it is now. Now that we as a nation are broke, it will not be long before our streets are too dangerous to walk on, our children are using drugs and selling themselves. Oh, sorry that's now....

I wouldn't call all them elites. I haven't seen a Che emblem at the Gap. Then again, I have never been to a Gap store.

I have not seen the movie out about Che yet and I hope Soderbergh takes this opportunity to show the world how cruel and vicious he was. Many members in my family were sent to jail in Cuba for having religous study groups. In Cuba, religion is not allowed to be freely practiced; this is to avoid people assembling into groups. My family members were killed in this jail by guards under the command of Ernesto Guevara who was the chief executioner at the jail. Trust me when I tell you these people did not deserve to be killed. They were good people, meeting to study the bible. That shouldn't be a crime. There are so many others like me who have lost family to his brutal nature.
