Chávez isn’t just arming people in his own country; he’s also giving aid and arms to “revolutionary” groups in Colombia. Analysts worry that weapons from Venezuela will make their way over the border to leftist FARC rebels in that country. Chávez also has close ties to Evo Morales. In May 2006, the Bolivian president agreed to construct as many as 24 new military bases in Bolivia with Venezuelan assistance—despite objections from Chile, Paraguay, and Peru."He needs to take his money out of banks to buy more guns. Brilliant. We're evil for arming rebels and governments in Latin America, but when Chavez does it, he's a great guy. Here's a tip people: it's wrong, period. You may love Chavez because he's a socialist, he stands up to the US, whatever. But he's going to get just as many people killed as we have down there. He's going to mess with the internal political doings of other countries just like us. But it's ok as long as he follows your political ideals? I think not.Chavez is a bloodthirsty, oppressive, power-hungry megalomaniac just like any other interventionist assh**e. Instead of taking money from the IMF to have his loyalty bought, he's buying loyalty with weapons. Does Bolivia need loans to improve their gas infrastructure? Not now. Because the money they would have spent on their military budget can go to that since Chavez is arming them.Digg me down. You can't stomach the truth about him. Hugo Chavez is George Bush, just on the flipside of the same coin.
This has nothing to do with how he hates the U.S....at this point it's just smart business sense. Our economic policy has been in fairytale land for decades, and the recent passing of the "economy boosting bill" shows that our leaders have no intention of changing the fairy tale policy.
Ah yes, the know it all who has nothing better to say than what you say is cliche. If you want me to argue this out, I will. I don't need a cliche to support me. #1 I am Canadian.... so please understand this is not a southern american speaking. What I am saying is that majority of the people that post here are ignorant of the world in which they live. They are so blinded by their hatred for Bush, that anything that opposes him is good and anything the is in his favor is bad. That is a wrong way of thinking. Not everything Bush did is evil. If it were not for the war in the IRAQ he probably would be rated as a great President. You've had plenty worse. It's sad how people can live with a mob mentality. Instead of patriotism you are left with rebellion. It's not just rebellion against the US Government... it's rebellion to all forms of authority. It's sad. I wish people would be more objective in how they see the world instead of jumping on band wagons.
I can't watch Fox News in my country, so it can't be that.He is a dictator because he censors media and his actions make the whole democratic process turn to his side.
I love the smell of coffee, and the whole coffee ritual, but it really is bad for you. It's been a couple of years since I weaned myself off of it, but I did it after a lot of research (including the fact that it actually makes you gain weight.)I leave it to you to do your own research (I checked out a bunch of medical studies) - the information's there to be found. Good luck.
Not true. Chavez is a major player in south America. It's obvious. Did you see the crowds respond to him in Argentina. During the Bush protest? Chavez is so busy and is making such enormous progress for south America it's hard to keep up with it all.The guy is working tirelessly to free the southern hemisphere of US domination. He should be viewed as one of the most important men of this century

Is not that they don't give a crap, is just that they don't have the balls to mess with the US.
