telegraph.co.uk— A British film about Charles Darwin has failed to find a US distributor because his theory of evolution is too controversial for American audiences, according to its producer.

I like how I get -60 Diggs and only +1 Digg on the statement:"God is real. A man doesn't need to be able to prove something to know something. Just look at people who don't have an alibi. They know where they were, but they can't prove it."I can understand people being atheists. But does the demographic for idiots overlap that of atheists?!?! Seriously, only 1 in 60 people realize that you can know something that you can't prove? Even when I gave an example? Seriously? Are you guys really this dumb? Here is another example of something I know, but can't prove,"My grandfather liked icecream." Since my grandfather is now dead, there is no way for me to prove he likes icecream. There are lots of examples in memories if you try and think of them.
From Carl Sagan, another one of us "idiot" atheists. I suggest you read his (brief) article on faith vs reason:http://www.godlessgeeks.com/LINKS/Dragon.htmSome more quotes from us dumb atheists:"The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus...will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter.""Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man"-- Thomas Jefferson"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma."- Abraham LincolnI do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. (Albert Einstein, 1954)?Creationists make it sound as though a 'theory' is something you dreamt up after being drunk all night.??Creationists don't want equal time, ? they want all the time there is.?Isaac Asimov"If religion was based on real truth, there only would be one.""Religion was born when the first con man met the first fool." -- Mark TwainWe are all atheists about most of the gods that societies have ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further. - Richard DawkinsThe fact that a believer is happier than a sceptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality. - George Bernard ShawWe must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes. - Gene RoddenberryAtheism leaves a man to sense, to philosophy, to natural piety, to laws, to reputation; all of which may be guides to an outward moral virtue, even if religion vanished; but religious superstition dismounts all these and erects an absolute monarchy in the minds of men. - Francis Bacon I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours. - Stephen Roberts
The British A-Hole who wrote this story took the worst % from the gallop poll, another one of the quotations states 86% of the people believe in the Darwin evolution, read the gallop poll. btw- polls are subjective depending on the audience and since the audience is not mentioned in the poll how are we to trust that the poll wasn't taken in an area that is overly christian and not a smattering of people thought the us???Eat shat you British POS!!!
Absolute nonsense. I'm sure many Americans would like see this movie, but the sad fact is there is a cartel with a stranglehold on avenues of mainstream publishing in the US, who, I think it is safe to say, are under the influence of Religion.
controversy is what sells nowadays. it gets people's attention on the subject itself and then from there, many will flock to see the film just to see what the hullabaloo was about in the first place.

Darwin believed Africans were a inferior race and less "evolved" than their White/Asian counterparts.
