I am so happy Diggers. This is for nasty ass BigD . I have always hated the Lakers. I prefer the Golden State Warriors or the Kings. hahahahaha Kobe don't know shzzzzzzit.
I say it for a number of reasons. One, win, lose, or draw, NOBODY could stop Jordan. You might beat his team, but in an elimination game he's definitely getting 50 points. I expected the same from Kobe last night. 22 points on 7-22 shooting? This is now the second finals (detroit being the first) in which it has been shown that Kobe can be made to look mortal if you commit to playing team defense. Even the Bad Boy Piston's "Jordan Rules" didn't stop Jordan.Second, you can't compare number of titles. There are just too many variables. Jordan never had a dominant center to play with. Would Kobe have won three championships if we replaced Shaq with, let's say, Shawn Marion (very comparable to Scottie Pippen)? Jordan also played when Bird, Magic, Kareem, McHale, Parish, Olojuwan, Stockton, Malone, Drexler, Barkley, Robinson, Ewing, Miller, etc., played. It's the reason that some of the best to ever play didn't win a championship.
I watched every Celtic game this year....Lakers were the easiest series....Atlanta was much tougher, they actually had the best fans....the underdog mentality was hard to overcome.
What do you mean buy? They made smart moves and traded crappy players for good players. You should learn about sports and the NBA before making silly statements. Buying and trading are not the same. Oh, and "sux" isn't a word unless you are 15 years old, live at home, and surf the Internet all day because school is out.
Well, so that is true, but since 99.9% of the viewing audience did not know that, it came off as extremely annoying and disrespectful to KG and the 'moment'. Leave the kid alone at that point, he wanted to cry, he wanted to explode with joy (anything is possible was just a small slice of what he really wanted to say), and he wanted to do it without a freakin microphone in his face.Recall when MJ won the title after his dad passed away and all he could was crawl in to a fetal position with the basketball and cry after the horn sounded. That picture is what I am glad to be remembering, not some reporter (even if a long time friend reporter) to be up in his face.
Joe, lobbying Shaq back is one thing, but lobbying Shaq back to win a title is like asking Kurt Rambis to not go snorkeling.... it is impossible and will never happen.
I don't know about you, but it's not really that entertaining to watch a s**tty team. Also, Red Sox fans have more knowledge of the actual rules of the game and the implications of certain happenings over the course of a season than a LOT of regional fans.

Jordan made his teammates better. Kobe just can't seem to do that. As a Celtics fan that make me very happy.

Danny Ainge was the main man in this championship...but he also put the defense of the title by letting James Posey go. it remains to be seen whether or not he'll pull off another P.J. Brown move.http://towelwavers.blogspot.com
