arstechnica.com — Two UK mobile operators are reportedly fuming at Nokia for including a mobile version of Skype on its N97 handset. Both Orange and O2 are so terrified that the popular VoIP service will siphon away profitable cell minutes by allowing users to make free calls that they are supposedly threatening not to carry the device unless Skype is removed.

Data or voice. What's the difference? I think people would rather have the option to "IM" instead of chat. I know I would if on public transit.

Well, I can understand where this is coming from, i had the same issue with verizon, when they found out that i was using skype on a wireless broadband instead of cellphone minutes, they had to cancel my wireless access. You'll have to wait more. Even if it got released, At&t probably won't let you run it on 3G, only WiFi
