tuaw.com— The Carpenter's Level is a Dashboard widget that responds to your (so equipped) iBook or Powerbook's built-in motion detector. Tilt your laptop to the left or right and watch the bubble move. Freakin' cool.

It's not working with my powerbook. I know i have a motion sensor because I played with some rollerball game using an app that made the sensor control it.

Didn't they have something like this using Thinkpads motion detection, the marble maze game?

Not the first motion sensor app. Amit Singh kicked off all the development last year with his AMS (Apple Motion Sensor) Tools here (<a class="user" href="http://www.kernelthread.com/software/ams2hid/ams2hid.html).">http://www.kernelthread.com/software/ams2hid/ams2hid.html).</a> Matt Webb then built a iTunes controller script in Python (<a class="user" href="http://interconnected.org/home/2005/03/04/apples_powerbook).">http://interconnected.org/home/2005/03/04/apples_powerbook).</a> Not sure what's more ridiculous though - a $2000 level or a $2000 iTunes remote control.
