I've been using kubuntu 7.06 for about 6 months now. 2 days ago I installed Ubuntu 8.04, and I gotta say gnome is pretty nice.Ubuntu is so easy.. when people hear Linux, they probably think of complicated OSs. But Ubuntu is so easy, a novice to computers could use it with ease. There's no reason to still pay for operating systems when there's one as good if not better out there for free. Don't get me wrong, I like Vista, but if it's that or a free OS like Ubuntu, I'll take Ubuntu any time.

5 Ubuntu machines in this house. Only one is a dual boot with Vista. Needless to say, noone uses Vista.

Mac OS is far more common than Ubuntu, and it barely gets half of the games released on Windows. Ubuntu needs a lot more than 8 million to reach a milestone that will make it feasible for gaming companies. Besides, like I said I am already running Ubuntu, just not exclusively on my PC.

They are not evenly distributed world-wide. There are more pclinuxos users that are not in your area. And perhaps more ubuntu or Fedora users in your area.
