Because I'm watching it right now in the page and is says "HD is on" and the image is 640x480 (actually less). I shouldn't have to go full screen to see it in HD, why can't it just be larger in the window like in Youtube? If you want to see how large the video is, click full screen and click the "scaling is on" button so it says scaling is off. The resulting image is still less than 720p and it still appears to be scaled up (although that is not vimeo's fault).

Canon has REALLY low noise ISO. I took a couple thousand shots with my Rebel XT at QuakeCon a few years ago and processed them alongside a bunch of Nikon shots. Nikons are every bit as good of a camera structurally and specification-wise, but Canon has always had it over them on super low noise at high ISO. I had great shots at ISO 800. The new ones are supposedly HIGHLY usable up to the 2000 range.I'm tempted to get a Rebel XSI, but I haven't used my camera much lately and the Rebel XT is still serviceable and takes good pictures at 8MP, so it's hard to justify, but DAMN the DSLRs with movie mode are giving the Red a real run for the money. If only they'd find some way to let you sync external audio sources. I guess that's too prosumer for Canon to cater to on their $800 camera.

Must be a pretty incredible camera. I've heard it mentioned at least 4 times in the last 3 days and I don't follow photography at all. It must be new?
