thenewbusinessblog.com — Considering it seems like the top 25 users account for 60% of what makes it up onto the homepage, it appears Digg is more like a high school social clique than it is the user driven news submission site it claims to be.

that, and how evil Islam is - with accompanying proof from LGF/FOX.

This is the way digg works now. If a stroy doesn't get dugg in 10 hrs, it is considered fair game for a l33t to repost it and get credit for it. Stealing stories used to be a big deal in the early days of digg, now it is the way things are done.

Anyone else find it ironic that this IS on the front page? Rule #1 for making the front page of digg - bash it. Works every time.

This is so true. I submitted a story a few days ago about a really good product called MediaDepot (<a class="user" href="http://www.mediadepot.nl/?l=engels)">http://www.mediadepot.nl/?l=engels)</a> and it really isn't happening with this story. Strange, because it's a new concept which should interest a lot of people on Digg.

You're misunderstanding what I'm calling for. If the story has no username associated with it then how will your friends find it? There will be no record anywhere of who submitted what. The story will stand alone with nothing to support it but people who are just watching the queue.

We'll have to agree to disagree...you think it's not gaming (and get insulting about it), I think it is.

This article is spot on! I've been a member since December 2004, have sent 16 stories to the homepage and the most diggs I have received on the 15 stories I have submitted in the last 10 days is FOUR... yes FOUR diggs.

Well, you've got one with eleven diggs now, so this can't be true. Alright, alright, so I digged it just to strengthen my claim. ;-)
