I'm sure most people already kind of assumed this to be true, I mean, come on... those tanks, humvees, and jets aren't getting around on rainbows and lollipops. Still though, some of the hard numbers were interesting.

How about some elucidatory comments to go with all those downward diggs?Tell me how the US policy of keeping active bases in countries all over the world is not largely the result of lessons learned from our hands-off approach toward regional conflicts in the years leading up to WWII. It's the 21st century dude - has been for 9 years now.F4 was an awesome plane in its day. Fly one in X-Plane 9 - wish I could have done it for real.Interesting fact - the F4 in Vietnam carried a fuel load that was actually heavier than some of the MIGs it was up against.

I would agree, overall. Whenever your pollution damages another persons property, including their body, you should be allowed to recoup that loss. But, for now, companies are *allowed* to pollute to certain amounts because the government says so. And, if they pollute more than allowed, they get a fine that goes to the government.

That the USA is the largest oil drinker in the world is wellknown! Here is compared the use of the US forces only with that of other nations - including their private car fuel, industry AND forces!
