Um yeah of course prices are rising, first, after the holiday buying spree, there are no more good sales on, also during the early part of the year all the new models come out, which are always priced high and most stores have sold off their old stock of last years model which causes the "average" to rise. Also the TV's keep increasing in size. 42" probably was the most popular size last year, 52" will probably be this years most popular size, a base 52" model will be more expensive then a base 42" model, again affecting the average.I bought a 52" 1080p set for $1300 CAD a month ago, now I can't find a model under $1500 because they are all new models and the old stock is gone. But I don't think this is a trend because I am seeing 50" 720p sets going under a $1000 which didn't exist last year at that price point.Epic fail in reporting.
