nba.fanhouse.com— Mayor Cory Booker thinks the city can use its two-year rental of the NBA's Nets to show that it can support a professional sports franchise.

I can tell you for a fact that NJ fans are probably the worst fans in history of NBA. They have more dedicated NHL fans. I went to a playoff game 3 years ago when they were up against Cleveland. I think it was game 6 but there were so many empty seats. Kidd and Vince Carter were still on the team at that point. Its just ridiculous. Moving them to Newark might get fans to come to games (because of ease of transportation and much better venue), but the team just isn't Jersey Pride.
lol not likely. If he doesn't exit the NJ scene quickly he'll get sucked up into it's corruption racket just like the mayor he replaced. Look up old Sharp James stuff and find out how similar the two are. They both came in clean. We'll see if both come out dirty. Not to say I don't like the guy. he's great and passed up Obama's nomination to further aide Newark. And I must say I love what he's doing. It's still a s**t hole though, and that's something he won't stop unless he gets help from a republican Governor which i just don't see. Christi will want police action, and Booker will want education and reform.

"Trick question. Nobody gives a s**t about Newark."Since you're Canadian, I'll just assume you were trying to be sarcastic or ironic.

For those that don't know, Cory Booker, the mayor of Newark, is probably the next black president of the United States. He's been mayor for just four years, and in that time, he's lowered murders by 36%, shootings by 41%, rapes by 30%, and car thefts by 26%. Check him out: http://www.corybooker.com/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cory_BookerI had the privilege to see him speak at the New Jersey State Democratic Convention, and he blew the place away. If you think Barack Obama is the charismatic speaker of our generation, you haven't seen this guy yet... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuBG-ppIGNY&fea ...

Sure it can. It already smells like a locker room.
