About the software installation - that works great when you're connected to the net all the time, but many of us aren't. The ideal system would combine the two: one file that has everything you need to install and run the program so you can install software offline, but also integrates with the built-in online system for automatic updates and all that other stuff that is well handled. I'd settle for .deb files including all the damn dependencies you need so you don't need to go online and download a half-dozen packages to install a single program.
Yes, if it has four elephants on its back which are supporting the earth - bit of hindu legend there for you. If you don't like the hindu stuff, read up about Terry Pratchett
I installed the new Gustsy Gibbon when I got home from work today and I cannot believe what a dream the installation process was. I now have everything I want on it including all the sexy Compiz-Fusion stuff. So far not the slightest hiccup *touch wood*.After this pleasant experience I can really see Linux knocking Windows off its high horse and ending up on a majority of computers in the near future.

That's true, the majority of the PC user base don't care if you are using Linux or Windows, AMD or Intel, ATI or Nvidia.
