Well fair enough, and my viewpoint may just be like an old grandad carrying a phone and a watch or having a calculator next to his computer, I beleive that eventually we are going to have one device that does it all (and hopefully by that time earbuds with built in mp3 players, why the hell haven't some been made, should I patent them, or is there a good reason?) but I don't think mobile phones will have games to rival dedicated portable gaming consoles for 8+ years.

Actually SCE should stop being ****s and try to develop a mobile gaming phone with Sony Ericcson. Hell they have a better chance of nailing it than anyone else.

I would be interested, it's just when they make crappy ports, like UT2004's ScriptedTextures that only work in DirectX.

I guess with iPad they can. it plays games and can interface with those presentation projection screens. If they can interface to a home HDTV set then it is game over for some existing game consoles.
