where.com — A co-worker of mine had a meeting at various sites last Friday, one of which was YouTube. They snapped a camera phone picture upon entering the less than overwhelming office, and send it to the company Where.com wall. A larger office will probably come after the inevitable acquisition.

Do you read the news. Google just signed a 900 million dollar advertising deal with MySpace. I think that makes them profitable.

"Hey, Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com has a desk he made out of a door. It's a symbol left over from *their* profitless warehouse days -- now, they're one of the few profitable .coms to survive the bust."I didn't know that. The best desk I ever had was a nice smooth door sitting on cinder blocks. I loved that desk, but my wife made me leave it behind when we moved. Sigh.

@ dclowd9901Nope. Nothing wrong with nice looking offices. I don't think I was bashing the "corporate" look. I just wanted to say that if your first instinct is to compare office settings in order to judge the quality of a company's product... well hopefully you're not someone who is in charge of the budget for any kind of innovative start-up business.
