alternet.org— It's laughable that the Feds are pushing the concept of pot addiction when science shows that withdrawal symptoms from caffeine are far worse.

Amen. I've been smoking for 14 years now and my mother has been smoking for 40 years. We hang out and talk with each other much more than we did before I found out she smoked. Oh and btw, if you think weed is anywhere near the same as cigarette smoke, do some research. If you feel like you can't breath and blame it on weed you either aren't getting any exsercise or you just have lung troubles to begin with. I smoke weed and cigs but I really don't give a f**k because I'm enjoying life and not depriving myself just so I can live to be 130.
I think I know where you are coming from. And I am pretty sure I know who you are. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH the search the carpet for pot deal too many times to count. My husband used to be a freak on the green and so did I. But he was much worse than myself. He sounds alot like you. Its almost frightening. But I do beg to differ with you. Pot is natural. I do not believe that pot is addictive. And it looks like you are blaming your "real" problems on pot instead of admitting what your real problem is. And my husband is now a reclusive who used to make fun of his mother but now does the same thing for the most part. I am not sure why. When he gets mad at me he tells me I am the reason he is the way he is, but I know that's also untrue, its the drugs. He quit smoking pot to doing other "recreational drugs" and that is the root of the problem and the root of all the evil demons inside him and myself, I know I am not perfect but instead of blaming other things (IE pot) turn around look in the mirror and step up to the plate and admit you are the problem and only you can fix the problem. I have been there and one day I hope you and others (especially my husband) can see how much you are killing your family, shutting out your friends, and for my husband who I love very much and would do anything for could for one time see this instead of thinking everyone, even me, is out to get him. (my husband's name is Chris, too) But to everyone who reads this pot is how you want to take it, but I will say they are not too far off from saying it leads to "other drug use" that I will agree with.

Abuse is no argument against proper use.
