I am assuming you feel that a 2 parent Man and Woman would not have been better for you? studies that have been done suggest the mental well being of a child is better with a Man and a Woman role in their life, a Dad proves leadership and head of the house and a value of a wife as an equal partner in a committment with God, and a Mom provides the loving stable backbone of the family and provides a healthy, well balanced situation in the family home, and also is a birth provider for a wonderful gift from God a Baby. Gay people dont provide this so a Gay parent family is far short of an traditional balanced family so therefore a Gay marriage is not equal in anyway or ever will be to a traditional marriage. So its a sad case of liberal PC judges going against the values of Californians who voted for the ban years ago, and like I said it will be overturned in Nov again by Traditional family values Americans no matter how hard the Gay AGENDA tries to LIE there way in this garbadge they want to spill on us Americans no place in Marriage for Gays sorry.
You are not even worth my attention to reply to in detail, so I shall concentrate on a few sections only.1. "I'm not sure what it is, but what is written in the Constitution certainly does seem to hurt liberals' brains. People like you never seem to understand or comprehend it."Generalise much? As well as being a blatent ad hom attack, it can't be accurate to classify all liberals together like that. You are merely declaring that anyone who disagrees with you must be an idiot.2. An equality. Inequality. Yes, I made a typo. When a typo is obvious, then there is nothing wrong with pointing it out - but you don't need to savagely attack it as though a typing error undermines my argument. That is considered cheating.3. "Well homosexuals have a right to marriage, but NOT gay marriage."Black people have the right to marry their own race, just like everyone else! They have the right to sit in their race's section of the bus, just like everyone else. Or, as the race comparison is getting rather tired, how about 'You have the right to worship Allah, just like everyone else.' Perfect equality in that one - go to Iran or Saudi Arabia sometime.4. "Where the HELL did you get this? Did you just say black people do not meet the qualifications for freedom?"No. I accused you of implying that. Perfectly valid logical technique: Your argument regarding gay people ("They don't meet the qualifications to marry, so they have no right to marry.") could just have easily been turned into a justification for slavery. Therefore, while this does not mean the conclusion is wrong, the argument itsself is invalid. All future comments in this thread I shall ignore. I have debated with some highly intelligent people before, and I can tell that you are not one of them. To argue further with you is beneath me.
yawn. you keep drinking that kool-aid, girlfriend. I guess the sad thing for you is that this "gay agenda" that you speak of... it will happen. No stopping it. Just like interracial marriage - it's going to happen and you'll be left in the dust just like the old cooter sitting on his front porch with the confederate flag hanging behind his rocking chair.and like your name suggests - keep hoping for god. maybe he'll show up sometime.
TuffDad, at the end of the day we are still all Americans I would be lying if I told you I get your understanding of an relationship. Im not Gay so not to pass Judgement its not my call, I would like to offer a peaceful respectful thought no one should be mean to anyone, Gay, Straight sideways, backwards you get my drift... but Vic all im saying is that being married for 14 years and 4 children later I see Marriage with a Man and a Woman as special and the birth of my children from God and my wife, as such a beautiful thing. You live in SF love that city by the way seriously The Wharf and the cable cars the fresh air!!! and Sausalito. If someone tried to force you to accept a way of life that in your heart doesnt seem right or biblical morally, wouldnt you object? my friend I want to leave you with this me and you are clear on our stances and I will be respectful to you from now on and not post a mean response to you and if you would the same from you? I hope this can happen and if it means anything your important to God and me take care Victor maybe we can agree on something else and support each other that way. Have a great weekend. Jeff Hope4God
I'm not going to read thru 900+ comments... A staggering divorce rate vs. 55 years together... who's making a mockery of what here? Congrats and God bless and all that... I can only hope for 55 years with someone I love. That kind of committment, and all they must have gone thru should be inspiration. Peace,V
As many have said, two down, forty eight to go!It's a shame that gays have to wait state-by-state to get their rights like this, though. The US needs to pull a Canada and just legalize it nationwide already =]

Never understood why people have problems with giving gay people the same rights as we heterosexuals have them.
