sfgate.com— The "progressive" State of California, is doing the best they can to make sure young children are brought up the way the State feels they should, and not the parents.

First they make it impossible for either parent in a family to stay home with their child(rem) but they''ll subsidize sending them to be cared for by people you wouldn't let in your home. Then they dumb-down the schools, which are no longer safe either. And now they insist we send them there. So.... how does all this fit in with "family values?"
"She had a great deal of trouble communicating with the others and always left right after rehearsals without talking to anyone."1. What do you mean specifically by she had trouble communicating with the others? She had a speech impediment? 2. Chances are if they went to public school they would still be introverted. Ever know any introverted kids in public school? If not, you don't socialize with enough people.3. She might have left without talking to anyone because she had a job to get to, or homework to do, or didn't have anything in common with anyone, or she may have met up with other friends. 4. Your problem with your neighbors was the fact they were Pentecostals. That's it. Since they were Pentecostals, you probably didn't have much in common with them. Newsflash - just because someone is Pentecostal or Catholic or Muslim or whatever, doesn't make them weird. They are different than YOU, but YOU are most probably not the norm. They may have thought you were weird, too. 5. I'll bet they knew how to spell Pentecostal. ;)
"provides them with a safety net in the event of abuse. Someone outside of the home is watching out for their welfare and well being."It does not! Not all abuse produces visible bruises or broken bones. Teachers can't - and most of the time DON'T - take the time to consider every pupil and whether or not they might be abused. Besides, you are assuming that all parents are inclined to abuse their children, which is just not true. You are also discounting the abuse kids undergo from other students in school as well as teachers.
I agree, I'm liberal and intend to homeschool my children when they get here. Why? To give them a better education than what is being given now. How am I qualified? I'm a former teacher, and let me tell you, teacher training programs are just a money making opportunity for schools. Your kids would be better off learning from people who actually specialized in their fields and took maybe a semester of teacher training. Instead we have these long two year crappy programs. And don't get me started on the exams. They gave us three fricken hours for an exam that should be able to be completed in thirty minutes TOPS. Our schools lack rigorous math and science education, and there is a dearth of critical thinking. (I won't even go into the social issues) I'm sorry but I do not want my child learning "Intelligent Design" as a legitimate subject. I went to slightly better schools but I saw the effects of bad schooling on my relatives. I will not do that to my child.

Study carried out by the president of the National Home Education Research Institute. Buried as unreliable due to bias.

If you look, I posted an apology for my type-Os's because I was at work and trying to hurry. And by the way, I went to public school.

To be a teacher the minimum requirement is also a university degree. Hello? You shouldnt be teaching your kids knowledge when you lack the MINIMUM.
