The judge in that (UK) case was trying to get at the precise legal difference between a website and a web-forum, it wasn't that he didn't know what a website was, it was more about who owned the comments on the site (visitor or site-owner), sensationalist headlines notwithstanding.But in any event, that doesn't matter. What *really* matters is that a judge make an informed decision when it impacts someone's life like this. I'd *far* rather have the judge take the time to educate him/herself and then make the decision, than have that decision made in ignorance.Simon

Excellent, Then the both of us have done something. I think that those that live in that town have done something, It has polarized the town and caused undue harm to a Innocent woman. Do a lot of people have to answer for their inadequacies? Yes. Calling for them to be ashamed, the ones that perpetrated this travesty yes; others that did not have all the facts and did not try to find them out, yes; those that tried, spoke in her behalf and those of us who spend time writing to board members, applying for the sys admin position at the school(even though I probably would not move there based on the prosecutors idea of justice), writing editorials in the local "toilet" paper, no. You tied this to "the rest of you" if it is your stance that the people in that town that did nothing are "the rest of you" then I apologize; but if you are talking about all of us in this country then I suggest that your opinion is wrong. However since it is your opinion you are entitled to it.
