Didnt you know? the Digg system has been optimized for Sony threads, if it has PS3 or Sony and any negative adjective then it takes 1 million reports to be reported inacurate. Also if you type "Wi"i or Nintendo FTW or any positive comment it automatically has a Hundred positive diggs and appears in the frontpage. Also a payed scort massage service is sent to your domicile calculated by your IP location.

Look, I used to work at a video game store, and we had systems overheat ALL THE TIME! And do you want to know why? Because, A. they're confined to an area with poor air circulation, and B. THEY'RE ON ALL DAY EVERY DAY 365!! And that's not much of an exaggeration. Yes, we were told to shut the systems off at night, but with sometimes only 1 of us closing the store ALONE, we'd get caught up with the duties of closing, and forget to shut them off. So the bottom line is, YES, Sony knows that the systems CAN overheat when introduced to confined areas and with little to no "power off" time. They're just trying to save BAD PUBLICITY with possible overheating issues at retail stores, therefore they're covering their a*$es by sending fans to install in kiosks...AND THE PROBLEM IS?!

@DookieBIdiot?! So im an idiot for demanding proof? Considering how many thousands of random rumors are spread on the internet each day I personally think it is idiotic on your part for supporting this statement for not even knowing where it came from. Besides, with as much bad press as Sony gets, this would be all over the internet if it was true...But how come I am only seeing this report on this one site? I would watch who you call an idiot because in the end if this is a fake statement which it most likely is, you will look like a fool.

If you actually read the article, they can't even back up their own claims, which is what this story is all about. I support all three consoles and can see the good in each of them. I don't see why everyone here has to be so hostile toward one company, moot towards another, then go and hump everything the other company produces.

I saw a PS3 at Game Stop. The attendant kept turning the system off to prevent overheating. At first I thought this was just a lie to keep the hordes of little kids from crowding around the system, but then it became apparent that the system really was locking up after just a short time. Sony designs the kiosks. If their system overheats in a store display, they f**ked up - either the system itself or the kiosk design. Either way, it's funny.
