cnettv.com— This is a short video, with an introduction by CNet's Tom Merritt, remembering James Kim and his work at CNet. It seems like Tom is barely holding it together in the clip.

Wow. I didn't think I'd get all teary eyed watching that video, but James seemed like a really great guy with a great sense of humor (his joke about his mole brought a smile to my face). God bless James Kim. You will be greatly missed.
@chaskellYes yes, we all know (most likely James did too) that you have to stay put to enable yourself to be rescued. But in this situation his priority was not himself, it was his family - two very different things. His family stayed put and he went to look for help, i.e. he increased his family's chance of rescue by decreasing his own.As a family man, I sincerely hope I would have the balls to do what he did.
lol you all make me laugh you all talk crap about bush and the war which in turn is like spitting in a soldiers face but yet you expect people to care about some guy most people don't know and expect us to call him a hero, yeah I'm sorry but him trolling off to save his family leaving his vechile which was keeping him alive and out of the wet for all of you that don't know its one thing to be cold but he was cold and wet if he would of stayed with his family huddled together for heat he would of been found with his family. The first rule of survival if you get lost with your car STAY WITH YOUR CAR, he didn't even cover his head so let me get this straight your excuses that he took of his clothes was he was wet HED OF NEVER BEEN WET HAD HE NOT LEFT HIS CAR, so seriously save your excuses people and just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't give you the right is act like a bunch of dicks. And Hegemony your asking a question is I WOULD HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY your the only c**k smoker, just because your pretending to care about some guy you have never meet and will forget in 2 weeks doesn't mean s**t to me, do you think he would care of some one like me or you where doing this no he wouldn't because we arnt known ited barely make nightly news if that so kma.You people on digg make me sick sometimes, yeah I care the dude died I care that he did it for his family but seriously what is this the like 10th digg article about this.
"My point is most of the people saying rip or acting like he was a hero don't give two s**ts about him or his family its just fashionable to do so to me doing that is spitting on his grave and his family if your going to truly care then do so on cnet they have a place for people to say stuff or even write a letter but don't act like posting on digg they will ever see it they wont"James was a very personable man. The way he spoke on TV made most feel as if he was talking to you. He made a connection with the viewers. It isn't fair that the soldiers are disconnected from us and don't get the same level of grief, but the fact is that many people felt a genuine connection with James and his family that he spoke of during his reviews. It is easy for many of us to place ourselves in his shoes, imaging being in the same position, and feel a great sense of loss for his family.Unfair, but most of us don't have the background to feel the same sense of loss when an IUD destroys many more families on the other side of the world...Instead of putting down those that care about the Kim family, yo should spend your time trying to support those that lost friends and family elsewhere. Use your energy to bring their story forward.God Bless
