"If I had to buy a brand new PC tomorrow with either OS/X or Windows Vista, my choice would be OS/X. Vista is what other companies would call a Beta version and will be for a couple of years while the worst of the bugs are banged out."Can somebody say MOABMonth of Apple Bugshttp://projects.info-pull.com/moab/Vista's not the only one banging out bugs.. I'm surprised all the M$ bashers don't mention MOAB.
>>But if Apple was not innovative with these things 2-7 years ago, where does that put Microsoft at?not sure where you are going with this, but if Apple did nothing in the past 7 years you wouldn't see a lot of this stuff in Vista....flip 3D, Calendar, photo manager, dvd creator, movie maker, etc, etc, etcIf it wasn't for Apple MS would sit back, do nothing and let people buy 3rd party software or charge extra for Windows add-onsThey said in the past that the reason IE wasn't updated in XP, and the reason IE and WMP will abandoned on the Mac were because they were free. MS doesn't see spending money on development of free software. If Apple didn't give away all sorts of software with OS X then MS wouldn't feel pressure to either
Jesus Christ. Fullscreen vs. Zoom is becoming almost as bad as Mac vs. Windows. Give it a rest, already. Every time someone says they want to see their apps full screen, some blowhard comes along and berates them for even CONSIDERING another way they'd like to have their OS work. Can't we all just get along?
Not only that...He states no one has done a Media Center...what is Front Row?Also mentions ease of making DVDs and HD Movies...um, hasn't iDVD and iMovie been on the Mac fo some time, now?
Clearly, after decades of debate, it's not about copying features any more. What MS did with Vista is copy Apple's philosphy of desining an operating system. MS copied Apple's apprach to designing an OS. Apple have always focused on beauty and elegance in their operating systems. Apple's OS X line of OS's have always been user centric, "streamlined" and intuitive. And THAT'S what Microsoft copied! Because anybody knows that the "Luna" theme in Windows XP is disgusting. Probably, even MS knows. But they didn't care about beauty when making XP. Now, they do. And that change of heart is inspired, or borrowed, or stolen, from Apple.

Do you even know what you're talking about? If MS hadn't stolen from Apple in the first place we'd all still be entering text commands to run applications. Imagine what life would be like without your GUI and mouse; that's what Apple has done.In terms of Vista's actual software, nearly everything on Vista is just a port to a PC from the Mac OS X. iPhoto, IMovie, Exposé, etc. Saying that Windows is leagues ahead of Mac OS X is like saying technology in 1995 was better than in 2005.And for reference's sake, I own both a Mac and a PC. I love my PC, but Windows is a piece of crap compared to OS X.

MOAB? We'd need daily bugs for Windows/Vista.
