baldeagle08.wordpress.com — Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, and other news media all lied and distorted the image of pastor Jeremiah Wright. Though Barack Obama has already given a stunning historical speech on race and Wright, it's important for voters to get full context of clips.. For example, Wright's "chicken roost" remark quotes a white US Ambassador, Peck.

Currant administration = Rule by sultanas rather than by sultans?

I can agree he does mention race and have some biases and he makes some generalizations but that isn't exactly the same thing as racism, IMO. The majority of Americans who participate in the political process are white and they do tend to lean conservative. Also, many of them (more conservative ones) ignore/oppose any accusations of racial bias or inequality. You are welcome to your opinions but I do not think calling mentioning race or accusing the majority in a country of racism is inherently racist. Most of "white America" seems rather complacent or racist in his eyes and seemed to be perverting the will of God in his eyes. Many preachers were all about the war and seemed to express the same Jihadist mentality many terrorists did. He was not trying to attack whites as a race, he was trying to attack complacency, war-mongering and perversion of christianity in his eyes. His church embraces a black value system that was essentially forced upon blacks by white people and literally *required* to survive for decades due to discrimination. With so much conservatives making it so hard for assistance and also a gang problem (rooted mostly in poverty - just look at any poor society and you will see a higher incidence of violence/crime), a black value system is still sort of necessary. Harsh laws (drug convictions bar many from higher education and any conviction makes it harder to get a decent job and support a family), no medical aid unless you have kids or documented disability, etc...All of this stuff does lead to racial bias, and some degree of prejudice. Given his age and experiences I don't doubt for a second Wright has some prejudices. However, I *do* doubt he was preaching people to hate anyone or saying the white race as a whole is evil. He was distinctly referring to U.S. government and much of it's unfair policies that neglect the sick and the poor and seem inherently anti-christian to many, including myself. You can believe that he is racist but I personally feel there is a difference between racism, bias, generalization and stereotyping. I am half black, raised by my white family mostly in the south. I have always been hesitant to accuse anyone of actual racism even in the face of racial slurs. I have had white friends who would say gentlemen and immediately apologize and tell me they didn't mean black people, anyone can be a gentlemen and repeat the original definition. I knew they didn't likely call anyone but black people gentlemen, but I knew they didn't mean all black people *were* gentlemen. I have had black friends who used cracker in the same way. They don't perceive the entire race that way, or feel they are actually superior, but they both feel that a majority have certain tendencies and tend generalize/stereotype to some degree based on that. This is fairly typical of any human as it is a natural reaction as humans to detect patterns and form beliefs/moderate behavior based on them. IMO, it is the main foundation of intelligence that and our aptitude at it is what sets us apart from all other animals and it cannot always be helped and shouldn't always be blamed.Context has to deal not only with the words surrounding a statement, but also the conditions that he was referring to that inspired him to make it

Do a bit of research. If you fail to see his racism, than you're just as racist. To accurately conduct the test, imagine Obama was white and change any reference he makes to white to black. IE: Obama writing about a white man as "Cracker" in his book, Dreams of my Father. Change "Cracker" to "gentlemen" and the reference to a black man, see the racism now?

I watched the video and feel even worse about what Wright said because he not only said those racist and America Hating remarks, but proceeded to pursuade his followers with missuse of the Word of God.

You know I'm an African American and I bought into the Ron Paul racist thing, but after the Rev. Wright thing I think you have a point. The media is just another tool of Satan in my opinion. The truth will set us free, but we can depend on the mainstream, American media to give it to us.

I want McCain elected, and I would rather move out of America than see Obama elected but I can't stand for lies and political games. Why has Obama not shown this in context? Honestly, I was very happy that Obama had taken such a hit by these statements but I won't sit and allow people to be lied to.

What ?! I believe that every US citizen who is eligible to vote not only deserves the right to vote, but has the RESPONSIBILITY TO VOTE. Unless the word republican (I'm not a member of said party, by the way) blinds you to anything else there, I cannot see why any reasonable human being able to read the english language would gather the opposite from my post above.I simply pointed out a fact of which kublerross was clearly unaware (that there are more seniors than college students and that they tend to vote a certain way).I didn't write anything about it being " illegal or even immoral".In fact, the only thing that a reasonable person could possible read into what I wrote is that seniors tend to be, by and large, Democrats, and that such a group is an ally, not an enemy of young progressives who want to get the current admin out.But hey. You OBVIOUSLY know more about me than I do. So tell me, what should be my next career move? Seriously. How about the next car I should buy?

Time to share this one again, since they're trying to bring Rev. Wright back as a smear.
