How short is the public's memory. Think back to the GOP debates when Dr. Paul was giving these warnings. Recall the response of the other candidates who just grinned, shook their heads and attempted to marginalize Dr. Paul's warnings as if they were crazy. The rest of them chose to repeat Bush's mantra: "The Fundamentals Of Our Economy Are Sound!". Now the warnings have started to come home to roost. Too bad folks didn't listen. Now they're stuck with McCain and Obama, and neither of them have a clue or have any advisors who have a clue. They're both calling to expand the scope and power of the government to insure that the situation will become far worse and the pain far greater. Congrats America, you got the political leaders you deserve.....again.

Because the money for this bailout is not coming from bonds and taxes, it would likely cause the most terrible bout of inflation since the 70's.$700 billion could instead be used to:- Pay off the war in Iraq! (And just look what that did to our economy.)-Give you and everyone else a $120,000 tax rebate.- Halt the gasoline crisis for 18 months.-Pay everyone's tuition at a state university for 53 million years.-Feed and educate the entire world's poor.
