crave.cnet.com — The honeymoon is over for the iPhone. It's not that we're sick of it already (well, maybe a bit), it's just time for it to answer some questions. Otherwise, it may join the Sony PS3 in the realm of "tech that looks absolutely amazing but is far too expensive for most people to even consider buying."

I find it both funny and sad that the same arguments used against both the Zune (too big!!!) and the PS3 (Too expensive!!!) are now being defended (and most likely by many who threw out more than a few shots at both the Zune and the PS3) by those who want to get the iPhone. There's a bit of hypocrisy going on here. But despite that, what's worst is the continued war consumers wage against other consumers and their chosen products. It is just me or does that previous sentence just drip with ludicrousness? Why do we really care about what we each like or dislike? The only stake we each have in what format, product or company is our own satisfaction. And really, does your satisfaction stand on whether everyone also enjoys and approves of what you've chosen? Just enjoy what you've bought and let go needing to have the public approval or disapproval of your decision.

@theonlyvladWhy not make up a simple rhythm to tap for dialing someone, or drawing a simple picture (the letter 'S' or something). To me, it sounds easier than trying to remember some random number (and where that button is on your phone) so you can call them without looking at the screen.Oh and about charging. USB charging or using an outlet. Sounds more convenient than most other phones. I got 2 dock cables and 1 plug charger already. Most cars are coming with an iPod cable. Although, I would hate to listen to music on a plane and not be able to make a call when I get there.

@flareupAs compared to other high-end phones; 500 bones isn't all that bad. I've been considering getting a Nokia N90 or N91 to replace my P.O.S. Moto SLVR, but the Nokias won't sync with Apple Address Book, iTunes, or iPhoto. The Wi-Fi, Safari, and Google Maps are just icing on the cake. I just hope the iPhone will be HSDPA by June... 14 Mbps would be sweet indeed!

A horribly inaccurate and poorly researched article. Didn't they watch the keynote? CNET speculates on lockout of peoples sync info? That Apple will reveal a management application to lock users in? Idiotic statements! Apple uses open standard V-card format for contacts, everything is synced through iTunes (which is free). Wi-fi is free. I have little interest in streaming content when my content is constantly updated to a device up until the moment I remove it from it's computer connected cradle. On multitasking from the article:At what point will anyone be simultaneously typing a document, formulating a spreadsheet, and composing a song on GarageBand on the iPhone?Another inane statement. Does anyone do that on a PC? Just hook up a keyboard for each hand, and a optical mouse taped to each foot. Pulitzer material..not.

Yes, because Apple has never ever failed with any of their products: Lisa, Newton, Power Mac G4 Cube, Macintosh TV, etc.

Lisa -- way overpricedPower Mac G4 Cube -- overpriced, underpoweredNewton -- too many problems at initial release and too expensiveMacintosh TV -- target market didn't careiPhone -- expensive but not overpriced; Jobs pointed out that the OS is meant to be upgraded and phone improved through the updates; and a target market that already passionately hates their current phone and doesn't give a rip if they can download another piece of hack software to fix some stupid thing that's screwed up in the original OS and will never care about ssh-ing into their home server, and doesn't want to type a 3 page document while driving down the freeway.
