Are unique visitors really that important of a stat for a site like this compared to say, page[ad]views/ and engagement per visitor. Not that I doubt digg also leads its competition here.

I wouldn't really state that because one site gets more traffic than the other that one is obviously superior. By that logic, the Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana, Brittney Spears, and the rest of that pop-garbage are obviously better music than *Inserts favorite unknown band here*.I go to both because, shockingly, you actually do get different stories from both sites. Obviously not all the time, but I've found good stuff here and on reddit that wasn't on the other site. Now, with that being said, I do feel that the quality of discussions on reddit can be better, but not all the time.Both sites have their ups and downs, and realistically arguing about personal preference is about as useful as pissing in the wind. I don't mind the ugly interface, you do, and we're never going to come to an agreement so why waste time arguing?
