I may have to spell this out for some... if that HDMI port is *input* then the HDMI output is through the standard x360 AV port. That would mean all past and present x360s will get the HDMI output capability through an external cable.There is no reason MS would not use the standard AV port on the x360 for HDMI output. At least that's my guess.
Funny people took this as a rumor when it was posted on digg about the hardware upgrades. There's no reason why Microsoft won't do such a thing, because it will help keep an edge over Sony. Social experiment using a bulls**t story? I'm afraid not. I believe this article 100%.

Hell, Microsoft was talking about it at the 2005 CES. I'm just grateful that they have the balls to carry it out. Bravo MS!
