looking back, about 18 years ago when I was a fire control operator for a HAWK missile battery. I remember Weapons Tight, Weapons Hold, Weapons Free, but the only time I remember stand-down was on Safety or Equal Opportunity/Sexual Harassment Stand Down day. You know when they had to give us classes, on well safety, equal opportunity, and prevention of sexual harassment. Gee

This Sergeant has no clue. Everyone was told to stand down, that even included NORAD. Everyone was to clear the sky, that way they could see what was left to shoot down. The Lieutenant Colonel on the Command Center Floor represented CENTAF, thats the CENTCOM AirForce component in the MIDDLE EAST. This SErgeant was a technocrat working at the periphery of the Command Center, and overheard things he didn't understand, and he certainly didn't understand the role of CENTCOM in this incident. There was no declaration of Martial Law by Jeb Bush, check it out. This guy is an idiot, so do your homework and check these things out.
