cbsnews.com — And the campaign of Ron Paul, a libertarian Republican with a small but passionate fan base, is hinting that he's going to come in at over $3 million for the quarter – a number that makes him harder for the other candidates, and the press corps, to ignore.

I'm in for $1100 so far. He's the only candidate I've ever donated money to, and he got my money because he has the integrity to refuse federal funds, union funds, lobbyist funds, and foreign funds.-jcr

A post with some substance and thought. NIce! The fact that Ron Paul has a reasonably large and growing grassrooots base is undeniable. The fact that he gets such passionate and intense attacks proves that he is a candidate of real substance. If I see a man on the street pretending to be the president of the united states I dismiss him. I do not engage him in an argument of why he is not the president. If Paul werea irelevant there would be no need to argue that he is irelevant.

Well I'm pro-choice too. In fact, I disagree with him on a few issues. He's just better than any other candidate who has a reasonable chance of winning (unless Kucinich gains some popularity really fast). Also, he doesn't put his religion first. Ron Paul does not want to make abortion illegal, he wants to leave it up to the states to decide. Also, I think his profession has more to do with his views on abortion than his religion.

They have pretty much the same social values, they just have different views on how to solve them economically. DK is for socialism, RP is for capitalism.

No you are! No you are! The majority of Mulsims are peace-loving, but the extremists cannot even be COMPARED to so-called "bad Christians". We don't try to convert people to our religion on pain of death. We don't value women as less than cattle. We don't kill homosexuals. etc. etc.
