rawstory.com — At the time she was assassinated, Pakistani opposition leader Benezir Bhutto was just hours away from meeting with two US lawmakers to hand them a dossier alleging that Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) was plotting with its Election Commission to rig the upcoming elections.

But all you crazy nutroots demanded voting machines when Gore lost the election. What happened to "Something as important as democracy cant be left to punch cards?" All the people like Jesse Jackson saying not computerizing voting would be racist. And all the BS about how paper ballots intimidate and remind the poor and uneducated of tests from school... I wish you nutroots would settle on a conspiracy for at least long enough that we don't still remember when you were protesting the opposite.

You won't revolt because you are seeing all this from your complacent, comfy chair..the place where most people sit, watch reality shows and drink beer....oh and order fast food.Unfortunately the revolt will only happen after it's too late.

US wants a base in asia, therefore musharaff is the friend now... since any other country in asia wouldnt give a rats ass to USA setting up their base... moreover... how come Musharaff ( a dictator) is a nice guy to bush admin when the similar guys Saddam was a tyrant...? both are anti democracy... both follow militatry dictatorship and no general elections were held in pak for so many yrs... how can in such a situation too musharraf is a good guy... damn this american hypocricy! As long as the guy is profitable.. hes a friend no matter whatever he says... or does.. the moment hes rebelling.. hes a enemy...remember what happened to osama... he was an ally when driving ussr away from afghan... and all of a sudden hes a enemy bcos now he wants to drive american out of afghan... US needs to straigten out the foriegn policy.. if they want to bring democracy every where.. do it... but follow the rules properly... without showing any bias

lol - I remember that - in retrospect I think everyone just wanted something accurate that we could trust. As the American populace the only political power we have is our vote, and if we can't trust that.....we're powerless.

I was kinda figuring the reason they report stuff, when they actually do, is that it doesn't upset anyone who has influence over anyone who pays their salaries. Reporting domestic news must be like walking through a minefield for these so-called-reporters on most days.

Don't just comment and shrug. It's time to DO something. Right this second, commit to spending 15 minutes a day doing any of: *Search for impeachment efforts, and support them somehow . *Don't BUY stuff. Take a bus, ride a bike, or walk just once a week. Cut off the mindless-consumer gravy-train we feed corporations with. Strength in numbers, my friends. Pledge 15 minutes a day to finding some way to make a difference. Start right now.
