Radiation shouldn't scare you. The fact of the matter is you're being hit by radiation at all times, you actually emit radiation as well. It's the wavelengths that you need to worry about, and how high the energy is.
I think it's amazing that forty years ago scientists were able to put a man on the moon, but they still haven't figured out how to put a man on Portia de Rossi.
