msnbc.msn.com — WASHINGTON - President Bush on Thursday acknowledged publicly for the first time that someone in his administration likely leaked the name of a CIA operative, although he also said he hopes the controversy over his decision to spare prison for a former White House aide has "run its course."

"And now we're going to move on," Bush said in a White House news conference.Um... Scooter wasn't convicted of releasing the name, only obstruction of justice. In acknowledging that "somebody in the administration did disclose the name of that person," President Bush just admitted that someone within his administration is in criminal violation of the Intelligence Identities Protection Act AND IS GETTING AWAY WITH IT.No, it's not time to move on, Mr. President. It's not even close.

You're a stupid person.

It's not treason for a very simple reason: Bush is anti-gay, pro-life, and therefore roughly half our nation will put up with whatever political madness he feels like conjuring up.

Well he was right?

This is hogwash. There is no connection whatsoever between Fox News and President Bush's commuting of the prison sentence as a part of Scooter Libby's full punishment (inclusive of fines, parole, etc.) If there is any connection at all, I'd like to hear it.

Further to your mudslinging and attempting to discredit bluto36, I would ask that you comment on which memos or e-mails you refer to when saying that this is connected to Rove and Cheney. The truth, which you have problems covering up, is that there is no connection between this and the Vice President. Had there been, the Democratic attack dogs would have been all over it. As we have seen, no legitimate (sane) Democrats have attempted to connect Cheney to this scandal. I have worked in congressional offices on the federal level, and I can tell you that it takes more than working in the same office to prove connection on something as sordid as this.

No, we all know who leaked. We are simply waiting to see some sort of accountability for it.Let me guess, you still think that this was all just a misunderstanding by Armitage?

Common sense and even your own quote infers that the United States can have enemies that we are not currently at war with."Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them ...". Not sure I agree that Alrich Ames was not treasonous (no matter what the "official" charges were). Giving hundreds of names to USSR during the Cold War is not acceptible either. Keep your pants on... I am not saying that Bush should be charged with treason for something someone in his administration did. I am saying that someone in his administration (not Bush necessarily) should at least be investigated (not charged yet) for treason. The act of outing Plame was undeniably a malicious act. Was it done with the foreknowledge that she was a covert agent? I don't know. If so, then the perpetrator should be thrown in jail for life (I am against executions even though the charge of treason calls for it). If they did not know that she was covert, then the person that leaked her name should simply and only lose their security clearance, like anybody else would, for the because they were not diligent in verifying that the information that they had was secret.
