thinkprogress.org — Today, all three networks carried President Bush’s address to the American public bashing the House’s compromise wiretapping legislation. During the speech, Bush once again criticized the American public for failing to fully appreciate the patriotic sacrifices of the nation’s telecoms.

Huh? You're setting up a straw man-as though the fact that the US hasn't been attacked directly is owing to Monkey Boy and Snarl. The terrorists are not stupid. They know that George Bush is the best recruiter that they could possibly have ever had.

it never ceases to amaze me what this administration considers "patriotic".

Nice job you three. Anyone care to actually use logic to counter my argument?

@Ell3, there is no indication that anything that the Bush Administration has illegally done with the illegal assistance of the telecoms has done anything to stop another attack on America. In reality there has not been another attack because we are already doing exactly what the the terrorists want. We have squandered 3 trillion dollars and gotten ourselves into debt so deep that like it or not we will be obliged to end our international empire. We have generated thousands and thousands of hours of Islamist propaganda footage as soldiers are filmed breaking down doors, pointing AR15s at Grandmothers, shooting up cars full of civilians, etc. ad infinitum. We have lost our position as the moral example thanks to our over-reaction. We torture abroad and usurp civil rights in this country. The second attack on this country has been a million times more devastating than the first and it didn´t cost the terrorists a dime. That is because the idiot President and his hubristic batch of Zionists has played their part right on cue and done everything that Osama could have hoped for.
