news.yahoo.com — Republican Sen. John McCain, a staunch defender of the Iraq war, on Tuesday faulted the Bush administration for misleading Americans into believing the conflict would be "some kind of day at the beach." Bush's rush to war, and misrepresentation of the situation on the ground has led to thousands of unnecessary US casualties.

McCain is right about Bush. However, John McCain is one of the most devious politicians that we have in office currently. He will change his position depending on which way the wind blows and will do everything in his power to make sure he gives his comment about EVERYTHING on news shows, the daily show, SNL, etc. For this, he is actually very disliked by most of Congress in Washingston.

What is funny is that McCain never said the president misled. The article said that. McCain was quoted as saying the administration "underestimated" sacrifices for the war. The two are simply not the same. No Digg

I don't understand. What is innacurate about this story? John McCain really said this at a news conference, and it was reported by AP. Are McCain and AP now a part of the liberal media conspiracy?

Uh... maybe it's just because Bush is a terrible, terrible President. And that's not even a liberal/conservative thing. I know liberals AND conservatives who think this guy is a total f**ktard. And the most vociferous are the conservatives because Bush gives them a bad name.

"McCain: The last sane Republican."No he's not. He's even more of a warmonger than Bush is. The only difference is that he has military experience and understands what it takes to actually win one of those wars. But he's too unstable to be president. Maybe he'd be ok as VP. Or defense secretary, if he'd take that job.

"Once again, Digg needs to display a NUMBER for HOW MANY "Diggers" claim a thing is innacurate. And give us a pull-down so we can see the names."Well, at least we know helix400 is one of them. :)

"He's still in favor of the war, he just thinks that Bush didn't accurately tell us what the war would be like, and how difficult a task it actually is."But part of it is the question of WHY Bush insisted on rushing to war. We didn't have time to prepare, and as a result this disaster happened. So why did we rush to war? To make Bush's time-table, because the war was planned long before and DESPITE 9/11? Oh, I think so!Bush led us into war unprepared, under false intent, and he lied to Congress and the UN.

But someone modded YOU down (it wasn't me, by the way) and yet while I obviously don't agree with your point of view, what you wrote was well thought out and worthy of consideration.I don't know if I could find a better example to support my point. :)

I use to work for John McFlop during the Clinton Admin. He was a very intriguing person to say the least. I had respect for him, until just recently. If you haven't seen," Why we fight." It a good portrayal of what Americas political intents are. While doing an interview for the show, he is interrupted by a phone call from Smalldick Cheney. Needless to say John boy turns white as a ghost. Substantiating everything that is corrupt about our foreign policy.

I love to watch the liberal hypocrites in action. They amaze.
bluehensamAug 29, 2006
Ummm...he's right. I think republicans and democrats alike can agree that only actual quotes should have quotation marks around them. You could make the argument that he was implying that, but you can't put quotes around it. That is misleading.
bluehensamAug 29, 2006
PoorYorick:Hey numbnuts - McCain never uttered the sentence "Bush misled America" therefore Obkenobi should not have used quotation marks in the title. Unless you're a f**king retard, you should know that only quotes get quotation marks. This is as basic as it gets.
