funny... you'd think bushco would love lots of poor lil bastards running around with no income - more soldiers for the cause.

Now you have to be 18 to be married, and 18 to fight in a war. So if we are going to be a war nation like Bush wants wouldn't it be prudent (lol) to get the bread in the oven before the drafted men ship out? Bush's planning skills never cease to amaze.

Incest is not the answer, Jethro.

Baloney. Most teenagers can get drugs and alcohol, but they don't all become alcoholics or drug addicts. I was a kid once, and I remember it. Some kids had sex, some didn't. We all had the opportunity. Some kids got drunk every weekend, some didn't. If you want to keep your kids away from sex, drugs or whatever, educate them. They are young, not stupid. So a kid gets a condom, talk to them about it. Keeping them ignorant doesn't accomplish anything. When they are old enough to want to have sex, they are old enough to learn enough to make a good decision. So if parents did their job, educated their kids and created an atmosphere where their kids could ask advice and get an honest answer, we wouldn't be wasting on adds promoting any type of behavior. Remember, if you allow the government to tell your kids when not to have sex, it's not much different than allowing the government to tell your kids when to have sex. I don't think the government belongs in either decision.

I think it's sad that so many people that commented feel like it's impossible to be a virgin past the age of 20. One hundred, or even just fifty, years ago, this conversation would've never taken place.

Next we will see bush's wife come on national tv and proclaim " just say no to sex"
observant1Oct 20, 2007
just like the "just say no!" anti drug campaign that reverse psychology advertized drugs for people who had a lot to sell (bush/clinton/CIA), this is about reverse psychology selling sex to kids. deliberately to confuse and wreck em. they'll have sex, have a pregnancy, get married, run into a brick wall of economics and become miserable, break up .. then the lawyers and social workers will make money off their misery keeping them poor and controlling their lives forever after. "oh, part time flipping burgers you made 451 bucks this month.. no medical benefits and we'll cut your foodstamps in half" etc.. and lets jail the "deadbeat dad" because he cant earn 750 a month and cant pay 400 a month child support.. we can rake 50,000 a year for locking him up.. thats 44,000 profit, courtesy of the taxpayers.. lets do it!just a new ad for the same old games..

Abstinence fails miserably. Kids are going to have sex, and there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. They are constantly exposed to sexual images at home and abroad, not to mention peer pressure. Is is fair or right that this is the way it is? Hell no, but at least these kids should know what a condom is and how to use it, and the consequences of not using one.

Finally, a voice of reason on Digg. Abstinence is not always possible with all kids, but its just fine if they do abstain. If they don't, they need to use protection.
