thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com — President Bush coined a new nickname for himself ? ??the commander guy? ? on Wednesday, as he criticized Congressional Democrats in a speech to the annual gathering of the Associated General Contractors of America, a construction industry trade group.

You people make no sense, what has the current administration done for you exactly? It's amusing to see people blindly following someone who continually screws them again and again. Reminds me of some previous times in history, when citizens followed other iniquitous leaders to their demise.

What does "the commander guy" need with a War Czar? Oh yeah, he's "the blame casting guy" too.

This is incredible. They?re even selling posters with his one-liners at my university... in Germany. One, just ONE of those sentences should have gotten him out of office. Even people who don?t feel too much sympathy for America pity you for being embarrassed by him on a regular basis.

I'd like to point out that it's just as much the other senator's fault for not overriding his veto. As Barak said, we are one signature OR 16 votes away from the end of this war. There are 17 people to blame here.

@ithinkicanI wish he were "veto man." Unforunately, he's only vetoed good legislation so far.

@gregp7Sad? The only sad things are your eyes up your butt. When they open, they'll see the commander guy!

I don't know why Repubs / conservatives defend this guy. Compare Reagan:http://www.reaganfoundation.org/reagan/speeches/challenger.aspTo anything Bush has ever said. You can bet that if it were Reagan handling this war and he were brought before Congress he'd have something more intelligent to say than mumble some crap about not needing to justify himself to Congress on account of being a "commander guy." And Reagan had a chronic, degenerative, and ultimately fatal neurological disorder.

Start sending postcards to The White House that say RESIGN! I think it's more effective than e-mail, and convenient for busy people from this site: www.postcardstowashington.com
