@LishaFishaSo, do we fire up the time machine and go back. Oh, that's right, we don't have a time machine ... so, what's your grand idea? Since we now think that we shouldn't have gone in, we simply pull out? @unit101Yea, we can't build someone else's country for them. How true. Like, take Japan and Germany for instance... Oh wait, that's right, we *did* rebuild Japan and Germany and now those two countries are amazing and wonderful. There are these things call History books ... nevermind ...

Seems like starting a war has created 'terrorists', so the US is now fighting terrorists. Seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy. And what Bush calls 'insurgents' used to be called 'resistance' in WWII.

Eventhough nobody has given W a blow job recently, there are plenty of things to use as charges to impeach Bush.I've read political speculations that the Democrats decided not try to impeach Bush. First, they want to the end the cycle of "revenge" that started with Nixon getting impeached. Second, they want Bush to hang himself and the image of Republicans.I'm wondering that if he actually goes through with disobeying Congress if the Democrats will actually reconsider their impeachment truce. Considering that Bush will take the Republicans with him in his downward spiral some Republicans might even jump on board of an impeachment effort.......visibly.......to save themselves.

In democratic America, Congress tells the president what to do.

Don't worry.. I predict there will be a federal WAR surcharge added into the national federal sales tax, which will hump the economy some more..sometime around 2010-- maybe from +2% 4 to 6% and whatever your state/city/county/town wants to add to that locally? So EVERYTHING will cost more, and fewer exceptions to tax free goods/services.You didn't think it would come out of the pockets of the ELITE RICH in this country did you?How foolish..

Tmcdigg just talked about a war surcharge---and rightly so. Someone is going to have to pay for President Bush's folly. It will probably be his successor, however, who gets the blame.I remember the days when I went to buy my first house. The assumable loan was at 14% interest. President Carter took a lot of hits for ruining the economy. Forgotten was President Johnson's foolish assertion that the USA could afford the war in Vietnam and his Great Society, social programs.Directly or indirectly we will pay. And for what? Well, as a post from several days notes, we bought an Iraqi government that is aligning with Iran. This development is precisely counter to a decades-long American foreign policy objective of constraining a growth of Iran's influence in the region. Talk about money down the drain.
