thinkprogress.org — It is common knowledge that carbon dioxide is the same chemical regardless of what source emits it. But for the White House, which unabashedly asserts its anti-environment agenda, the definition of CO2 can change to help big polluters.

Science = buried C-Span testimony..."“I must say that it was sometimes somewhat embarrassing for me to return to EPA and ask for my colleagues to explain yet again that CO2 is a molecule and there is no scientific way of differentiating between CO2 from car and a power plant.”dear lord you're an imbecile. you cant even draw the partisan line at the politicization of the periodic table.

jesus christ eating a banana! are you insane? i was being sarcastic! was that too hard to understand? i was saying that people in power don't care what or why they just decide whatever stupid things they decided without any concern for logic and do whatever is necessary to achieve that. what the hell???

Buried because the headline is a wildly inaccurate exaggeration of what has actually happened. (Again, MakiMaki. *sigh*)From the article:"So there’s an interest to determine whether we could define CO2 from automobiles as somehow different than CO2 from power plants"The headline:"Bush Cronies Redefined ‘Carbon Dioxide' to Help Polluters"- not quite in sync. I don't doubt that the current government would love to find a way of getting around the whole CO2 embarassment, but they didn't actually redefine anything.
