I said it when the Iraq war first broke out that I thought going against the UN was the single greatest mistake of that situation, and I stil believe that it is. It may not be their fault, but in terms of setting a good example we clearly failed.

UN was against attack and occupation of Iraq.Look at list of some of US invasions: Mexico (territory still occupied), Vietnam, Dominican Republic (1965), Laos, Cambodia, Libya (1986), Panama (1988-90), Iraq, Haiti (1994), Grenada, Serbia, Sudan (1998), Afghanistan, Pakistan (small attacks).
