I am sorry I can't blame Bush for this. You got to understand this is many Afghany's lively hood growing opium. You simply can't survive by just by being an honest farmer there. Until you can come up with some feasible so the Afghan people can financially survive on something else than you can't take it away. I know what some of you are screaming, No drugs are bad! Why you live in your nice house with food in your belly's. Don't yell at a poor man trying to put food in his family stomach. Not financially feasible.

Te title should be:Bush Doesn't Want to Stop Opium Production in AfghanistanGet real ...

"I remember the Taliban doing this, and shortly after they stopped its production the US invaded, and production was back in action."Hmm, you might have mentioned this is a theory of yours cause in no way is it true.

The ppl were brutalized if not killed if they grew poppy for opium under the Taliban. Since America is not willing to do that to the farmers we're out of luck..

Is this suppose to be a surprising news story? Bush couldn't manage a McDonald's.

I don't think you should have been dugg down. People don't recall how the contras got their stuff anymore? Sad we never learn from history now a days...

Prescription?!Damn skippy, they will surely make money then. Freaken pharmas will pay more than your average street urchin and then resell to hospitals in war torn areas at a premium...sounds like a nice market to me.

Quite clearly you know nothing about Afghanistan or the situation there.. You probably think that America is a Holy Land being Terrorized by Them Muzzlims who work for The Devil.Nice idea, bomb a country, then forget about it.. and then when you can't deal with it's problems (your responsibility, since you've practically taken over it.. and new governments takes years if not decades to stabilize) Bomb it again!Nice idea.. that'll stop more terrorists... Little children with no more family or purpose in life who watched everyone around them die, will just love you!

Hmm, interesting way to look at it. While I don't agree with America's policies, is this truly colonialism?Maybe it is.. there are always facts that one does not know.Btw, Desi.. Sindhi?
