splicetoday.com— Obama ran a great campaign, but we also have Bush II to thank for preparing the electorate for this moment.

At the risk of sounding antagonistic, what has Bush done during his administration that he should be held accountable? I don't mean rhetoric put forth by the partisan pugilists. What specific thing (please not he lied and people died rhetoric) has Bush done that puts a bee in your bonnet? I am sincerely interested. I believe that if Bush has done something criminal he should be prosecuted but everything that I hear people complain about consists of nonspecific accusations full of rhetoric and hate.I'm not a Bush lover by any means but I see so many things that are blamed on him that he has no control or things that are a result of a bipartisan cluster.
I'm also getting a bit irritated with the "Bush wasn't such a bad guy" comments that are already starting to appear. He was a really bad guy. Memories are so short.
That only happens with people who did way way too much acid, and even then, Bush clearly isn't a peace-loving hippy, so it's just that he's naturally stupid.
As a citizen of this country, I would much rather see issues like our economy addressed. Putting Bush et al on trial is way down on the list of priorities when friends and family have lost their jobs, lost their homes, are running out of unemployment benefits, etc.Get real. The time for accountability is past. We can afford to let the Bush gang off the hook a little while longer. His/their legacy will be enough to punish them. Don't get me wrong--I can't stand Bush and company. I just think we have bigger fish to fry.

Nixon had style. Nixon had double-rabbit-ears not-a-crook speeches. Bush choked on pretzels.

God knows how many posts I wrote debunking the William Ayers fantasies, but that seriously made me lol.

Impeachment means nothing. Bill Clinton was impeached. I'm talking about a trial with possible prison sentences or the ultimate sentence for treason.

Nixon was pardoned by Ford. Probably the most ridiculous corruption of the President's power to pardon.

Somehow I doubt Americans would vote in another science-rejecting Christian fundamentalist so soon after Bush.
