thinkprogress.org — In the wake of the Virginia Tech massacre, conservatives are calling for more guns to be allowed in schools. It's worth noting that as Texas governor, George W. Bush approved of the same policy that was in place at VA Tech.

interesting, I figured this VA Tech shooting would bring about people crying for more gun laws, not to be more lax on gun laws. Which I'm all for, I think if someone has a license to carry a gun then they should be allowed to carry it on campus. Some people seem to make overboard sarcastic remarks about gunslingers and everyone should be issued a semi-automatic weapon, which to them I say, if you want the government to protect you from other citizens, then that's fine, go get your license to life, I'm sure the government will give you one. I for one prefer to protect myself and the people around me from those rare crazed oft illegally gun welding citizens.

I knew that this shooting was Bush's fault.

I could see the VT incident escalate had a ccw user botched the job. Professional law enforcement have gun accidents often, secret service article yesterday, Pat Tilman, etc. It's not gears of war, leave it to professionals.

yes, cause people who want to kill people care about whether it's against the law to have a gun in a "gun free zone".
